No second analouge stick for the PSP go! ?
Well everybody got pretty pissy about this, one of the only problems with the wonder machine, and the truth seems glaringly obvious. i honestly hadn’t figured this one.

We also felt — like many users — that we wish we had a second analog on the PSP. But we are talking about the mid-life cycle of this platform, and the PSPgo is designed to be perfectly compatible with the PSP-3000 and all the games that released before that. So we had a very serious discussion about this particular subject, but we decided not to add a second analog, and some of the developers are doing quite a nice job translating the second analog functionality to different buttons. We didn’t want to divert their efforts either. – Sony Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida

Seems obvious now?
The PSP GO! is meant to be within the 1st gen of PSP and so all games for PSP GO! can be played on the other PSP’s. if a second analouge stick were added, then new games would have to be developed solely for PSP GO! effectively rendering it, a brand new gen. In essence, sony didn’t add a second analouge stick because they were lazy and weren’t ready to split the fanbase, but surely, the PSP2 has got to have a second thumb nudger?*

*Judging by the quote from sony. It’s gonna be definite.
