Today, at a Take-Two press conference, their president, Ben Feder, stated that they “will continue to support the title with add-on content.” So basically, you can expect even more awesome DLC for Borderlands. From the immense amounts of content in the three already released DLC packs, I can’t wait to see how they can further expand the Borderlands universe!

If however, like me, your PS3 refuses to sign in then change the setting of the clock manually and sign in. Simples. Well it seems simple for now (waits for PS3 to explode).

You may have been experiencing problems with your PS3. God knows that if you’ve managed to make it here, then you probably already have a fair idea as to whats occuring. So here is the most recent post on the official EU blog.

As you may be aware, some customers have been unable to connect to the PlayStation Network today. This problem affects the models other than the new slim PS3.

We believe we have identified that this problem is being caused by a bug in the clock functionality incorporated in the system.

Errors include:

• The date of the PS3 system may be re-set to Jan 1, 2000.
• When the user tries to sign-in to the PlayStation Network, the following message appears on the screen; “An error has occurred. You have been signed out of PlayStation Network (8001050F)”.
• When the user tries to launch a game, the following error message appears on the screen and the trophy data may disappear; “Failed to install trophies. Please exit your game.”
• When the user tries to set the time and date of the system via the Internet, the following message appears on the screen; “The current date and time could not be obtained. (8001050F)”
• Users are not able to playback certain rental video downloaded from the PlayStation Store before the expiration date.

We hope to resolve this problem within the next 24 hours. In the meantime, if you have a model other than the new slim PS3, we advise that you do not use your PS3 system, as doing so may result in errors in some functionality, such as recording obtained trophies, and not being able to restore certain data.

As mentioned above, Please be advised that the new slim PS3 is not affected with this error. We are doing our best to resolve the issue and do apologise for any inconvenience caused.

For the latest status on this situation please check either PlayStation.Blog, Twitter or PlayStation.com.

Our advice? If you are affected by the problems, don’t fiddle with the settings, avoid playing games, and follow Sony’s official playstation twitter, which will keep you updated. Come tonight (midnight GMT or around 8pm central time) the date (which is the suspected source of the problem) should roll over to 02/03/2010 and all trophies, DLC, themes and network access should self right. If not, well it may just kill sony.

Some comic relief for you, this is a comment taken from our friends at Playstation University. Now if this isn’t an angry Daily Mail reader i don’t know what is!

Yup this is a major load of bullish can’t sign on the psn, trophies are gone, and on top of that can’t play games offline. What’s worse is the new ps3 slims are working fine. Sony what about your loyal ps3 players that have had a ps3 since they came out? First Toyota now Sony? Cmon Japan
